Girl Child Network Zimbabwe  is a community-based, Unknown-1developmental  organization that seeks to promote the rights and empowerment of the girl child in the home, school and community.  The organization’s  strategic interventional programs put the girl child at the centre of all activities.


Betty Makoni is a Zimbabwean gender activist who founded the Girl Child Network, which cares for Zimbabwe’s young sex abuse victims; the organization has rescued more than 35,000 girls.  Makoni is the principal subject in the documentary film, Tapestries of Hope
